UMOM Domestic Violence Shelter
Dayspring hosts a monthly birthday party for all of the clients at the UMOM
Domestic Violence Shelter that opened late February 2007. For a couple of hours
each month, all clients are invited to play party games, socialize, eat cake and hopefully
forget their worries. Small presents are given to everyone and larger presents
are given to each birthday guest. A sign-up sheet is in the Narthex or you can
contact Carrie at waacwhite@cox.net for more information.
Singles, Etc.
Each Sunday, after the second service, those who want to go out for lunch as a group meet at the restaurant
listed below. (If you attend the first service, please join us.) We gather under the name "Dayspring"
around noon. See the box in the right column for this month's restaurants.
Other Hands Ministry
Some 'OTHER' hands are needed at Westchester for Bingo on Saturdays from
9:30-10:30am. You will not be playing bingo or calling it, but helping
the residents play. Some have impaired sight, some can't hear and others
are unable to use their hands any more, but they love to play bingo!
So, why not bring your good eyes, ears and hands and help these great
folks have some fun!
For more information about the Other Hands Ministry, contact Suzanne
Petticrew at suzycrew@cox.net.
