Board of Trustees

The Trustees are responsible for the upkeep of the Dayspring Campus. They oversee repair, maintenance and renovation of our buildings and grounds, work with church maintenance and custodial staff, maintain safety and fire records, handle insurance matters, and work with Dayspring Preschool on improvements to facilities. They also are responsible for legal matters of the church.

Finance

The Finance Team is responsible for the financial health of the church. They oversee development and administration of the annual budget. With Dayspring staff, independent contractors and church members, they oversee and manage the budget, annual stewardship campaigns and other activities necessary to maintain the financial health of Dayspring.

Lay Leadership

Lay leadership includes members who serve in team leadership roles throughout church programs. In addition to the leadership of their team they also participate at the Covenant Council where church programs are reviewed and approved. Issues requiring a vote of the membership are addressed at called charge conferences directed by the Pastors.

Several lay members are also chosen at Dayspring’s Annual Church Conference to attend as voting representatives to the Annual Desert Southwest Conference of the United Methodist Church. They attend along with our Pastors and vote on matters of the Conference.

Lay Members may also serve in an At-Large capacity and attend various team meetings throughout the church. They report to the Pastors as well.

Staff-Parish Relations

The Staff-Parish team meets with the Senior Pastor as needed to review staff concerns, set wages and compensation, review and make recommendations for hiring, and any other tasks as may be requested.

Communications Team

The Communication team includes church staff and volunteers who manage and provide information to members of Dayspring and the public. Representatives include the webmaster, newsletter editor, weekly worship bulletin editor, as well as members who have skills in public relations, media, and computing.

Our charge is to review and recommend improvements to the publications of Dayspring and enhance the way we communicate within and outside the church. We make and implement suggestions that improve information distribution.

We also recommend purchases that help the church communicate in a better manner.
