Vision

To enhance the spiritual journey of Dayspring people and the organization.

Mission

To enhance the spiritual journey of Dayspring people by:

  1. Providing learning and experiential opportunities in prayer, meditation, comtemplation, and other spiritual disciplines. Emphasizing our connectedness and oneness with God, one another and all of creation will be a major aim of these endeavors.
  2. Encouraging and providing the means for Daypsring administrative and program groups to engage in Biblical, theological, and spiritual reflection with regard to their mission and purpose.

Your Library

  • A place to read, relax, meditate, hold a meeting, or check out a book
  • Currently there are over 900 books in the library
  • Library hours are the same as the Dayspring Office hours
  • Available for meetings of 12 or fewer people
  • See Machel Considine to reserve the room
  • Candles and fireplace are not to be lit
  • Books can be checked out for 30 days
  • You can donate books to be added to your library

Many hours and much hard work went into the renovation of the Dayspring Library. We would like to thank the members of the Spiritual Formation Committee who made this possible: Susan Oliver, Jim Coffman, Barbara Coffman, Dorothy Young, Carol Johnson, Ken Haga, Carolyn Olson, Gail Robbins, and Stephen Choe. In addition, Karen Stache and Lori Nelson provided their professional guidance.

The Dayspring Library Book List has just been updated. Here is the latest list:

Visit the Living Prayer Center at UMC.org

Your schedule may be busier than ever, but with the new UMC.org, you can access spiritual support from the people of The United Methodist Church 24 hours-a-day, seven days a week. Through UMC.org you can privately and conveniently submit a prayer request to the Upper Room Living Prayer Center and their Covenant Prayer Groups.

How It Works

Click the Pray button on www.UMC.org and complete the simple online form to submit your prayer request. Your prayer concern will be forwarded to one of 300 Upper Room Covenant Prayer Groups located all over the world, who will pray for your request for an additional 30 days. More than 30,000 prayer requests are received each month. To protect the privacy of those requesting prayer, each request is edited to remove any information that would identify the person or situation needing prayer.

Methods of Prayer
