CURRENT CHILDREN’S MINISTRY NEWS:

March was an exciting month in Children’s Ministries as we prepare for the celebration of Easter. We have been collecting toothbrushes to send along on the mission trip to Tochimizolco, Mexico and continue to look for ways to support Project Hope, our clean water project in Liberia. We hosted a family potluck and Jerusalem Marketplace as a way for families to experience Holy week in a hands-on way. We are thankful to everyone who volunteered their time to work in our Marketplace.  Watch the video recap here.

Vacation Bible School is back and registration is filling up quickly. This year, our program is called Shipwrecked and will run from June 11 to 14 from 9am – noon. There will be games, singing, dancing, hands on play, and learning through fun! Registration is open now, cost is $35 for the first child in the family and $25 for each additional child. A $5 discount per child will be given to anyone who volunteers during the event. Click here to sign up today! Questions? Email Emily@dayspring-umc.org.

We will host a spring Family Bingo Night on April 21 from 6:00 – 7:30 pm in Fellowship Hall. Playing bingo will be free and fun for all ages with fabulous prizes for the winners of each round. Snacks and drinks as well as bingo daubers will be available for sale while supplies last. Proceeds from the snack sale will benefit Project Hope. Join us for fun, fellowship, and laughs before Summer break.

AWAKE, an overnight ministry for 3rd-6th graders will hold its spring sleep over event on April 28 at 3:30pm – April 29 at 8:30am. The theme for this event is the Parable of the Good Samaritan. It will include games, activities, crafts, and time with their bible. If you have any questions, please email lmroosen@cox.net or martha@zmee.net. Registration will be available on the patio beginning April 8.

Finally, Sunday school teacher and volunteer appreciation Sunday will be held on April 29. It is a small way that we say thank you to our teachers and volunteers for all that they do for our children.
