February was a busy month in children’s ministry. Our Sunday school lessons focused on the teachings and parables of Jesus where we learned the importance of loving our neighbor and putting others needs before our own. Our BeTween group put those lessons into action raising money for Souper Bowl of Caring, making lunches to support our Habitat for Humanity build team, and making over 40 agape bags to serve those in need in our community. Thank you for your support of the Parable of Talents on February 23. More than 30 children showcased their Talents to raise money to support Project Hope, our 2020 service project to bring a third clean water well to a village outside of Monrovia, Liberia. This will be the ongoing benefactor of all our fundraising activities for the remainder of the year.
Toothbrush Drive – Children’s Ministries is sponsoring a Toothbrush Drive to send along with the mission to Tochimizolco, Mexico. Through Palm Sunday we will be collecting new toothbrushes, floss, and travel sized toothpaste. Children can bring their donations to Sunday school to contribute to their class count but there will also be collection boxes in the Narthex.
