February was a busy month in children’s ministry. Our Sunday school lessons focused on the teachings and parables of Jesus where we learned the importance of loving our neighbor and putting others’ needs before our own. Our BeTween group put those lessons into action raising money for Souper Bowl of Caring, making lunches to support our Habitat for Humanity build team, making 40 agape bags to serve those in need in our community, and assembling snack packs for the Mended Little Hearts families. We also hosted a church wide picnic that was fun for the whole
family. Congratulations to Paige and Blake Notbohm, our Bake-off Winners for 2019.

Thank you for your support of the Parable of Talents. Over 30 children showcased their Talents to raise $883 to help support Project Hope, our 2019 service project to bring a clean water well to a village outside of Monrovia, Liberia. This will be the ongoing benefactor of all our fundraising activities for 2019.

Toothbrush Drive– Children’s Ministries is sponsoring a Toothbrush Drive to send along with the mission to Tochimizolco, Mexico. We will be collecting new toothbrushes, floss, and travel sized toothpaste through Palm Sunday. Children can bring their donations to Sunday school to contribute to their class count but there will also be collection boxes in the Narthex.

Mission Possible – A Holy Week Adventure – Children’s Ministry is hosting a Mission Possible – Holy Week family potluck event on Wednesday April 17 from 5:00–7:00pm in Fellowship Hall. Join us for this Open House style event that is full of challenges, crafts, and activities that will lead you through your mission, should you choose to accept it! Mission directives will be handed out beginning at 5:00 and run continuously through 7:00, Potluck buffet will open at 5:30. Come when you can, as this is an ongoing event where kids will get the opportunity to create and experience their way through Holy Week.
