September was an exciting month for Children’s Ministries. On Bible Sunday, 20 third graders were presented with their bibles during worship. All were excited and proud to receive this special gift. BeTween started up again this month with fellowship activities to help the students get to know each other. Sunday school is off and running. If you are not receiving regular emails from Children’s Ministry and would like to be added to the mailing list please email Emily.
Awake, an overnight ministry for children in grades 3-6 will take place on Saturday, October 12 at 5pm until Sunday, October 13 at 8:30am. The cost is $20 per child and $10 for additional siblings. Registration has begun, so email Emily with questions or to sign up your child. Parent volunteers are needed to help lead activities, prep meals, or sleep over (multiple shifts are available).
BeTween will again support the Sidewalk Sunday school Christmas Bags Ministry. Our children are raising money by hosting a car wash on October 20 from 11:30 to 1:30 in the church parking lot. Your donations will allow the children to fill Christmas Gift Bags for homeless children in Mesa. There will be no BeTween meeting on October 9, due to fall break. If your child, in 4th – 6th grade, would like to see what BeTween is all about, feel free to pop in and check out one of our meetings on Wednesdays from 6:45 – 7:30.
We are looking for students from 4th – 7th grade to serve as acolytes during our worship service. If you are interested, please email Emily.
The annual Dayspring Fall Festival will be held on Saturday, October 26 from 4-7 pm. Tickets sales begin on the patio on October 13th. Join us for an evening of family fun, games, food, bounce houses, and more.
